35th Reunion - 2008

What a blast! Our 35th Reunion was a wonderful event and it was great to see everyone. Sweetwater Landing was the perfect place for our gathering and they took great care of us. We were scheduled to have a ranger there (a real one!) for security, but discovered at the end of the evening that no one came to do that – guess they knew we could take care of ourselves! There were lots of memories and connections made and also a lot of photo sharing – proud parents and grandparents too! We will get some photos from the Reunion on the flickr site soon and invite all those who had cameras (and there were a lot of you!) to send your photos to reunion@lakewoodhigh1973.com and we’ll load them to the site.

Thanks for a great evening, LHS Class of 1973 Reunion Committe

Some post-reunion comments:

from Dave & Eileen McCray:

Dear Steve, Kathy and committee, I just wanted to thank-you for all the hard work you guys did to put on this event. My wife and I had a wonderful time. It was very well organized and was a perfect evening. It was so much fun catching up on old friendships and making some new ones. Great Job

from John & Connie Von Duhn:

Steve, Kathy and all involved. Thanks for a great time. Enjoyed myself very much. See you at the 40t

from Gus & Marny Stiasny Ruetenik:

Thanks to you and the rest of the reunion committee for all the great work you have done. It was a lovely party at a very nice location. We enjoyed the trips down memory lane, although the trip seems much shorter in our minds than some markers indicate… We did spend some time touring around Lakewood on Sunday. Both Gus and I were amazed at the changes as well as the things that were still the same.

from Tom & Barb Marquis:

The LHS 35 reunion at Sweetwater Landing on August 23rd was TERRIFIC! You and your Committee did a WONDERFUL job! Thank you very, very much for all you do!!

from Bonnie Herrick Killingback:

…a quick note to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the time and effort you put into Saturday night’s Big Event. It was not wasted! I had such a fabulous time seeing and chatting to people from a very happy 35-plus years ago, many of which I never anticipated encountering ever again. And from what I observed, all of the participants felt exactly the same as me…How about a reunion weekend next time?!…..thank you for an event I’m still fizzing over. It was so worth crossing an ocean for!
